1. Registration Fees
Registration for the 2013 Building Energy Summit includes continental breakfast, opening General Session and Keynote Presentation, educational breakout sessions, Luncheon and Case Study Presentation, Resource Pavilion, refreshments and snacks, Closing Reception, speaker presentations, educational materials, and other conference resources. Attendees must register under the appropriate registration category, based on meeting the criteria provided on the registration page in the registration package descriptions and must use the appropriate promotional code, if applicable. CoR Advisors and the ecoDistrict (“Producers”) have the right to reassign attendees to the appropriate registration package for any attendees who, in their sole discretion, do not meet the qualifications defined. The 2013 Building Energy Summit is a private event hosted by the Downtown DC BID/ecoDistrict intended for their members, association partners, and invited guests. Producers have the right to deny attendance, advertising, or sponsorships to any person or company who they feel, in their sole discretion, does not support or contribute to the educational mission of this event.
2. Cancellations, Refunds and Transfers of Registration Policy
Cancellations will be accepted prior to February 1, 2013, provided notification is received in writing to firstname.lastname@example.org. Refunds will be issued within 15 days of written cancellation notice via the same method of payment received, less a $35.00 cancellation fee. You may transfer your registration to another qualified attendee in the same registration category by notifying CoR Advisors in writing prior to March 1, 2013. No transfer of complimentary registrations will be allowed at any time. No-shows will not receive a refund of registration fees paid.
3. Event Date and Location
It is agreed that in the event of a fire, act of God or natural disaster, military or government order, or other circumstance that makes it impossible or inadvisable to hold the Summit at the time and place herein provided, Producers reserve the right to postpone the conference and reschedule for such a time as the situation is remedied.
4. General Liability
Each registrant is responsible for their own personal safety during their attendance at the Summit and is required to carry the appropriate medical and property insurance to cover themselves while participating in this event. The Producers are not responsible for and shall assume no liability for any property loss, damage, or personal injury that occurs during the event.
5. Speaker/Sponsor/Exhibitor Attendance
Producers will make a reasonable attempt to secure speakers, sponsors and exhibitors to participate in this event, but do not guarantee their attendance. Neither CoR Advisors or the DC BID / ecoDistrict explicitly endorse any company, product, or sponsor of this event. Every effort will be made to review materials for educational quality and consistency; however, any and all materials presented are strictly the opinion of the presenter and not guaranteed for content or accuracy.
6. Photos, Video and Audio Recordings
By participating as an attendee, speaker, or sponsor of this event, you agree that all photos, video, and audio material obtained during the course of the conference shall remain the sole property of Producers, and that Producers hold the right to use those materials for marketing, promotion, or any other reasonable purpose, providing they do not violate any copyright or trademark rights and are in accordance with all applicable laws.
