March 21, Washington, DC — In support of the 2013 Building Energy Summit, Constellation, a business unit of Exelon, has purchased and donated Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) to match 100% of the electricity used for the event to be held on March 26 at the Ronald Reagan Building & International Trade Center.
The RECs supplied by Constellation are Green-e Energy certified and sourced from wind energy facilities located throughout the United States. Each REC represents the positive environmental attributes of 1 megawatt hour (MWh) of electricity generated by a renewable power plant, and is retired on behalf of customers wishing to promote their environmental commitment. Through the purchase of RECs, CoR Advisors, the DowntownDC BID, and Constellation are supporting the operation and development of facilities that generate clean, renewable energy.
Constellation is proud to participate as an Education Track Sponsor of the 2013 Building Energy Summit. To learn more about RECs and other energy solutions for your business, be sure to stop by the Constellation table in the Resource Pavilion during the Summit.
